Estates & Guardianships
As a trust institution, one of our primary functions is to settle estates. The Trust Department at Central National Bank often serves in the capacity of an estate’s personal representative or executor, thus removing the burdens of settling an estate from family members. This service is particularly helpful in situations where the decedent did not want to place this burden on the surviving spouse; where there are no family members locally; where there has been a second marriage; or, where there are concerns about the ability of family members to agree.
Additionally, the Trust Department often serves as court appointed guardian and/or conservator of the property of incapacitated persons.
